Flying from the UK
Most major airports throughout the country fly directly into Budapest. We would recommend using any of the links below for flying to Hungary, Liszt Ferenc Airport (Budapest Airport):
If booking flights seperately, summer prices will change over the months leading up to our event, we recommend checking websites like Skyscanner from time to time so you can secure a good deal.

No visa is needed to enter the country for British or EU citizens.
Once you arrive at Budapest Airport, you will need to get some transport to the City Centre.
By Taxi
The main taxi company is called Főtaxi. Reservations can be made in person at the Főtaxi booths located at the exits of the Terminals. At the taxi ranks in front of the stands, taxis are continuously waiting for passengers.
A ride to the city center should typically cost around 15,000 HUF (£35), depending on traffic conditions.
If using a taxi, please make sure to use only Főtaxi and no other unofficial provider that may solicit you at the terminal building as you may be severely overcharged.
By Bus
Bus line 100E provides a direct connection between the Airport and Deák Ferenc Square, a key transport hub on the Pest side of the city. The buses run at least every 10 minutes throughout the week. The 100E Bus also visits Kálvin tér and Astoria metro stations on the way to the city centre.
Passengers require a special ticket for bus line 100E which costs 1,500 HUF (£3.50) for a single ticket, one-way. Enquire within the airport terminal for more information or visit the Budapest Transport website.
Hotels and Accommodation
There are plenty of options to stay in Budapest from low-cost apartments, Airbnbs, to luxury hotels. For easy access to the venue, we recommend booking your accommodation in districts V, VI or VII. (We recommend you avoid anything in district VIII.).
